Founder’s Story
MAYRA Jewelry Beyond Trends,
Rooted in Syrian Legacy
MAYRA is not just another jewelry brand it is a story of love, legacy, and light.
To its founder and creative visionary, Nayloufer Habbab, every design begins not with gold or gems, but with feeling. Each piece is first hand-drawn, born from quiet reflection and deep affection, shaped to echo the effortless grace and individuality of the woman who will one day wear it.
Nayloufer’s lifelong admiration for gold and gemstones began as a dream, one that shimmered quietly in her heart. For over a decade, she designed jewels for herself, her mother, and her siblings, pieces that became tokens of emotion, celebrated with warmth and admiration by those who received them, and saw them.
In time, she discovered that what she held was not a pastime but a calling, a passion that connected her spirit to the timeless art of jewelry making. With her mother, Hazar Miro, by her side, MAYRA was born, a name whispered with love, created to honor beauty, light, and belonging.
Behind the Name “MAYRA”
A name carries a soul.
When the founders sought a name for their creation, they wished for one that transcended borders and time; something luminous, eternal, and full of meaning.
MAYRA was chosen because it embodies all that the brand stands for: light, beauty, love, and admiration.
In Arabic, Mayra is a radiant light that graces the sky.
In Spanish, it means beloved.
In Hebrew, it signifies a star, or a gentle rebellion.
Together, these meanings weave a love story, a symbol of unity, culture, and timeless grace.
Just as each piece of jewelry holds a world of memories, MAYRA holds within it vision, to shine with its own light and to be loved for generations to come.
Why Gold
For centuries, gold has been a woman’s silent companion; a metal of warmth, serenity, and confidence. Our ancestors believed it calms the soul, uplifts the spirit, and deepens a woman’s inner peace. At MAYRA, we honor that belief.
Our creations reflect the softness, strength, and authenticity of the women who wear them; glowing from within, just like gold itself.
